อลูมิเนียม – น้ำหนักเบา ทนต่อการกัดกร่อนได้ดี ความแข็งแรงสูง และราคาย่อมเยาว์ เหมาะกับการใช้งานดับเพลิงทั่วไป อาคารสำนักงาน โรงงานอุตสาหกรรมที่ต้องการความคล่องตัวในการใช้งาน และความคุ้มค่า
ทองเหลือง – ทนทานต่อการกัดกร่อนสูงสุง ทั้งจากน้ำ และสารเคมีได้ดีเยี่ยมกว่าอลูมิเนียม มีความแข็งแกร่งและทนทานสูงมาก ทนต่อการกระแทก เสียดสี การบิดตีวดีเยี่ยม สามารถทนต่ออุณหภูมิที่สูงได้โดยที่ไม่เสียรูปทรง แต่มีน้ำหนักที่มากกว่าอลูมิเนียม และมีราคาที่สูงกว่า

Aluminium — lightweight, highly corrosion-resistant, strong, and cost-effective. Ideal for general fire-fighting use, office buildings, and industrial plants that need easy handling and good value.
Brass — offers the highest corrosion resistance against both water and chemicals, well beyond aluminium. Extremely strong and durable, with excellent resistance to impact, abrasion, and twisting, and it holds its shape under high temperatures. It is heavier than aluminium and comes at a higher price.
